Independent Executive Advisory for Imaging Practices

Nigel de Wit is an executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning radiology operations, technology strategy, business management, cybersecurity, vendor negotiations, reimbursement, and strategic planning. His unique combination of executive operational leadership and technical expertise provides independent imaging practices with practical guidance focused on improving performance, reducing unnecessary costs, strengthening practice value, and preparing confidently for future growth, merger, or sale.

Nigel has more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare technology and business operations, including over 15 years in dual Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) leadership roles within a multi-site outpatient imaging organization. He continues to serve in executive leadership and advisory roles, bringing current operational, strategic, technology, and commercial experience to every client engagement.

Throughout his executive career, Nigel worked alongside radiologists, practice administrators, modality vendors, RIS and PACS providers, reimbursement specialists, research organizations, healthcare technology partners, and healthcare executives. This experience provided first-hand insight into the operational, financial, and technical challenges facing independent imaging practices, including declining reimbursement, rising operating costs, vendor complexity, cybersecurity, aging technology infrastructure, increasing regulatory demands, and industry consolidation.

Radiology Advisory was established to provide independent imaging practices with experienced executive guidance that is often unavailable internally. Rather than focusing on a single area of the business, Radiology Advisory provides a broad operational, technical, and strategic perspective, helping practice owners reduce costs, improve operational performance, optimize technology investments, strengthen vendor accountability, identify growth opportunities, increase practice value, and prepare confidently for future growth, merger, or sale.

Where appropriate, Radiology Advisory also conducts Executive Operational Assessments, providing practice owners with an independent executive perspective on operations, technology, vendor relationships, workflow, facility condition, and opportunities to improve overall practice performance and practice value.

Nigel’s experience includes imaging center operations, modality planning and procurement, vendor negotiations, reimbursement optimization, research imaging programs, cybersecurity governance, outsourced IT provider oversight, RIS and PACS environments, DICOM and HL7 integrations, workflow modernization, technology strategy, operational improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic business planning. His background uniquely positions him to independently evaluate outsourced IT providers, technology vendors, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure—areas that are increasingly critical to imaging practice performance but are rarely reviewed from an executive operational perspective.
